Nazarene Tours in the IMTM Tel Aviv 08-09th February 2011

Nazarene Tours is proud to announce that we attended the IMTM convention, which was held in Tel Aviv from the 08th till the 09th of February. It is like always Great to meet new agents and catch up with old friends. We hope and look forward to see lots of new faces in up coming conventions; we’ll leave you with some pictures.

Up coming events in the Holy Land:

PURIM 19th – 21st March

Purim is a religious festival; its parade takes place in Holon, along the Tel Aviv coastal strip from the 19th till the 21st of March 2011. You'll see an astounding variety of wild costumes, from historical figures to contemporary politicians and cross-dressers.

The Purim story recounts the tale of Mordechai and his daughter Esther's victory over Haman, who plotted to kill the Jews of Persia 2000 years ago during King Ahasuerus' reign. The plan was foiled, Esther became queen, Haman was put to death and the festival of Purim has been celebrated ever since.

Eilat Chamber Music Festival 17th – 26th of March

Leonardo Club Hotel in Eilat is holding the annual Eilat Chamber Music Festival. Israeli and international musicians will honour a range of musical greats, from Bach to Bartók and Piazzola, as well as Estonian Early Music Ensembles to Austrian vilonists.

New opening of EL Mejana

DALE CHIHULY’S GLASS ARTWORKS RETURN TO ISRAEL

Just a decade after the glass artworks and installations of Dale Chihuly attracted over one million visitors to the Tower of David Museum in Jerusalem, a new multidisciplinary exhibition of the American artist’s works has opened in the Litvak Gallery, Tel Aviv. The exhibition, which includes nearly 100 works from the artist’s various series, will remain open to the public from January until April 2011.

THE RED SEA WINTER JAZZ FESTIVAL 20-22 JANUARY 2011, EILAT

The highly successful Red Sea Jazz Festival, which will celebrate its 25th anniversary in August 2011, has launched a winter festival to take place in Eilat, 20-22 January 2011, offering a mix of hot jazz and a relaxed and festive atmosphere amid the warm winter sunshine of Israel’s southernmost resort.
Performances will take place in a renovated 2000-seat hangar in the Eilat Port, with performances from well-known Israeli and international jazz performers. These include, among others, musician and composer Egberto Gismonti with his authentic Brazilian music mixed with Western jazz and classical compositions; American trio The Bad Plus with their own take on avant-garde jazz; Juan Carlos Caceres & Tango Negro Trio in a journey to the black roots of Tango; Indian virtuoso percussion player Trilok Gurtu; African-Latin jazz from the Doron Raphaeli project and the Brothers in Brotherhood concert that brings together Israeli and Egyptian jazz performers.
